Q : What's so great about Big White?
A : Firstly The Snow - it's fantastic! It even makes me (a very average skier) feel like I know what I'm doing - great for the ego! Big White is friendly, great for kids and great value for money.

Q : I keep hearing how great it is for children - what about the adults?
A : The skiing is fantastic and there are numerous bars and restaurants - we have managed a 10 day trip and not eaten dinner in the same place twice, including the chalet! We think Snowshoes Sams is the best bar. There is live music most weekends.

Q : We have a group of mixed ability skiers - from beginners to expert - will Big White work for us all?
A : Yes! Big White is a great place to learn to ski, to build confidence and has plenty of options for the experts. There are lots of runs that you can all ski together - beginners on the groomed run, intermediates skimming in and out of the trees at the edges of the runs and the experts can ski down through the trees - all meeting up at the end of the run. Very social!

Q : Why can’t I use my VISA card in the money machines?
A : The ATM money machine at Big White accepts Mastercard, AMEX and accepts the following debit cards: Maestro, Cirrus and Interac. The money machines do not accept certain Visa cards. The ATM at the Kelowna International Airport accepts most Visa cards. Visa is accepted at all ticket, rental, food, beverage and retail points of sale throughout the village. If it is an emergency, the Ticket Office in the Village Centre Mall may be able to give a one time cash advance with a purchase. We recommend you travel with more than one form of credit and/or access to cash. Traveller’s cheques can readily be cashed at the ticket office with appropriate identification

Q : Where are the money machines located?
A : There are four money machines available: 1 Next to the Activities Desk in the Village Centre Mall, 2 Near the Ticket Office in the Happy Valley Day Lodge, 3 Snowshoe Sam’s, and 4 the Mountain Mart.

Q : Where can I buy lift tickets, lessons, and rentals?
A : To buy lift tickets, go to any tickets desk at the Westridge Warming Hut, the Ridge Day Lodge, Happy Valley Day Lodge or the Village Centre Mall. The Ski/Board School Desk is the point of sale for all ski/board lessons. To rent ski or snowboarding equipment, please visit the Rental Shop located upstairs in the Village Centre Mall. To rent skates, please visit the ticket office at Happy Valley.

Q : Where do I buy stamps? And where do I post my letters?
A : Once you are ready to post your letter or postcard, you can take them to the Administration Building (upstairs in the yellow building beside the Village Centre Mall) where your mail will be posted with a machine stamp that you purchase there. It then will be taken to the post office in Kelowna to be sent off.

Q : Where can I exchange foreign currency?
A : Foreign money exchange is available at Ticket Office in the Village Centre Mall.

Q : Is there public internet access?
A : Internet Access is available in the Mountain Top Internet Café located at Trapper’s Crossing. There are internet computers at Beano’s in the Village Centre Mall, at Sam’s and one at the Whitefoot Lodge.

Q : Where can I buy a phone card?
A : Phone cards are available at the Mountain Mart in the Whitefoot Lodge.
